What time do the Services start?

Worship Service starts promptly at 9 a.m., followed by Sunday School classes for all ages at 10:30. We are usually out around 11:40.

What do I wear?

Bel Aire Baptist does not have a dress code. You will feel comfortable and accepted regardless of what you choose to wear. Our Wednesday night Bible Studies are considered ‘casual,’ while Sunday has a full spectrum of dress, from jeans to suits and dresses. During the Gulf Coast summers, children usually wear shorts and T shirts.

What are people like at Bel Aire?

Bel Aire Baptist is a diverse church made up of many people from all walks of life. The church resembles, to a great degree, the community of which it is a part. There are a number of young families, students, and people who work in the area, as well as those who have retired all along the Gulf Coast. There are people from different regional, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. We also have many that are currently serving in different branches of the US Military. Most of us have mortgages, problems, challenges, and all the rest that comes with living. What is significantly different is that the people who make up the church are on a journey towards becoming passionately devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Some are further along in that journey than others, but that should make finding someone you connect with along the path that much easier.

Does Bel-Aire Baptist have child care and a nursery?

YES! Bel-Aire is very proud of the many different children’s ministries we offer.  From our trained nursery staff to our gifted Children’s Church leaders we have a place of worship from new borns to toddlers and beyond.  ALL OF OUR CHILDREN’S WORKERS are B.A.S.I.C.S. trained, for not only your child’s safety and well being, but for our staff’s protection as well.

Where do I go and where do my children go when we arrive?

We have many Greeters that are awaitng you and your family with a smile. They are easy to spot from their name badges and one should be around most main entrance points. They will be more than glad to guide you in the right direction.

What do I do before the service starts?

If you arrive before the service starts, you will notice that our worship center is an auditorium filled with rows of chairs. There are no reserved seats, so you may sit anywhere. As you enter the Worship Center, you will receive a copy of the bulletin which gives you information on the many happenings at Bel Aire Baptist Church. We also announce special activities on the large screen located in the front and sides of the worship center. We  have seating in the balcony if you prefer. Please ask someone and they can show you the way to our restrooms.

Do I need to give money when I visit?

Bel Aire Baptist Church does encourage tithing. However, our guests are not expected to give anything. During this time, if you have filled out the Guest registration form, we do ask you to drop it in the offering plate.

What if I don’t have a Bible?

Our pastor usually has the verses for the message projected on the large video screen. Also located around every aisle is a Bible that you are free to use during the service. If you can’t find one, copies are available at the Welcome Center located in the foyer of the Worship Center.

Is there an opportunity to respond at the end of the service?

At the end of his message, Pastor Randy will invite anyone who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to accept Him. He will also ask those who would like to become part of our church family or to be baptized to make that known.

The chorus that is  sung while the congregation stands is an opportunity for those people to come to the front of the Worship Center and talk with the Pastor about their needs.  Our “encouragers,” trained counselors, will take those who come forward to another area for a few minutes and answer any questions.  This is also the opportunity for those who have special prayer needs to come to the front and pray.  ”Encouragers” will be available to pray with and for those who come.

How do I become a member of Bel-Aire Baptist Church?

1. BY PROFESSION OF FAITH – If you are not yet a Christian but would like to be, or if you are a Christian but have never been baptized by immersion as a believer, which the Word of God commands, our pastor will pray with you and guide you in your decision.

2. BY TRANSFER OF LETTER – If you are a Christian and a member of a church of like faith and order, we will write to the church where you are a member and request that a letter of transfer be sent.

3. BY STATEMENT – If you are a Christian and have been baptized as a believer according to the scriptures, and do not either have current membership in a church or are currently a member of a church that does not grant letters of transfer, you can receive membership by your affirmation of the above.
