Our AWANA program began in January 2004. By the end of January, enrollment had already reached 57 children, a terrific start for this program, with 71 enrolled by March, 2004.
Our leaders are working, studying, and preparing to make this an exciting time each Sunday evening for the youngsters in our Church.
Activities in the AWANA program include Memorization of Bible verses and Motivation. The heart of AWANA is the gospel message – that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again.
Everyone is a sinner & deserves eternal punishment. Jesus Christ, God’s Son, paid the penalty for our sin when He was crucified on the cross and rose from the dead. If we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior, we receive God’s gift of eternal life in heaven.
Once we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior, we can never lose our salvation.
Motivation for memorizing and understanding the Bible is done by positive discipline, game time, and awards. Awards are also translated into points for purchasing items in the AWANA store.
